The RS-150 Duo was designed for the commercial user looking for a high quality sharpener that can handle a demanding restaurant, butcher shop, or small meat processing facility. By using a two stage diamond and hard ceramic wheel system, the user is able to create a sharp edge, as well as completing the process with a honing stage. The optimum sharpening angle is already set on the machine. The knife is quickly resharpened by passing the blade through the sharpening wheels. The low rotation speed and the material of the sharpening wheels ensures that the knife blade does not heat up during the sharpening process.

Stage One uses diamond coated wheels to create a sharp edge. Stage Two uses ceramic wheels to finish the edge, for that final smooth cutting action. For most sharpening needs the ceramic can be used to bring back the edge without removing extra metal from the knife.
